From his personal life narrative to his political outrage to his out of control romantic heart, It Ain't Truth If It Doesn't Hurt walks the line of pain and pleasure and brings to light some of the truths that slice us open, turn us inside out and sometimes sew us back together.

Each of the poems in this collection are matched with a print from artist David Berube's “Face a Day” collection.
